I live in Lansing, Michigan. Iím Cherokee Indian, decent of the eastern clan. I define myself as collaboration of self-taught technique. This is my definition and thanks to the people who had taught me and encouraged me throughout my life.
I started drawing at the age of 6, my grandmother used to sit me at her kitchen counter with paper and pencil; she would name things for me to draw. Though grade school I was given ribbons for many of my drawings, and painted for special school events. In high school my art teacher of 3 years pushed and encouraged me to paint telling the stories of my culture and beliefs. As a young adult I took many private lessons, learning how to paint with expressions and feelings. I had the guidance of a very dear friend who broadened my ideas, and to be proud of my culture and passions.
Years have passed and modernism has leaded me down many paths, but my heart still lies in the creations and expression of my culture. Thank you for visiting my web page, check back often more for things to come. Please leave me a message I would like to hear your thoughts.
